What is CST (Craniosacral Therapy)?

Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a non-invasive, gentle, hands-on technique. It's a deep massage to the nervous system. CST works from the inside out rather than working the outside in.

CST practice is based on understanding the subtle movements of the cranial bones, which results in a certain rhythm. This rhythm is caused by fluctuations in the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). The CSF covers the entire central nervous system from the brain down to the base of the spine. A CST practitioner gently works on the spine, cranial sutures, diaphragm and fascia, restoring the natural rhythm and movements of the CSF.

Think of the body as an onion. It's very complex and we have layers. CST peels off the layers to get to the source of your pain or dysfunction in the body.

Benefits:

-You don't have to disrobe or feel oiled up or slimy after a session.

-The practitioner applies 5 grams of pressure, which is the pressure of a nickel. It's gentle work, so you won’t feel sore after a session.

-This technique gets to the source of the pain faster & more effectively (working from the inside out).

-This allows the body to be in a relaxed state for a longer period of time.
